What is Compressive Force?

Compressive Stress : - It  is defined as the stress when a Compressive Force is applied on the cross sectional area of the body , the stress is produced is called Compressive Stress. It is denoted by 𝝈c .

here is             Compressive Force = Compressive Force / Cross                                                                                         sectional area
                                          𝝈c  = P / A
                                      P = Tensile Load
                                      A = cross sectional area.

                     
                                  

The SI unit of Compressive stress is N/mmᒾ .
