Shear Stress :- Shear Stress is defined as the Shear force that is applied to body with respect that it opposes the sliding effect on the body , that creates Shear Stress.
OR
Shear Stress is defined as the Shear force is acting on a body that opposes sliding effect with respect to cross sectional area of the body, is called Shear Stress.
